Himalayan holidays fascinate me beyond any description. I always dreamt of those snowy staycations. And we got an opportunity to visit this heavenly place as we went to attend a wedding at Faridabad, and extended that holiday to Dharamshala and Khajjiar. And it was the much-needed break during the mundane days of work.

We opted for an overnight journey by a Volvo from New Delhi. Reached McLeodganj, the hill station of Dharamshala by the dawn. Our agent’s car had come to pick us up and dropped us to the hotel when it was still dark.
